We tested the Genelec G Two B speakers and the ProCaster PRE-01 preamp – the experiment also included an alternative for Genelec
We tested Genelec's highly popular G Two B active speakers and the affordable ProCaster PRE-01 preamp, which is also available as a package. The combination can easily set up the sound of a television, and it also includes a Bluetooth connection for streaming from, for example, a smartphone.
We found the sound quality of the speakers to be good in its class. Not everyone is satisfied with the Genelec sound or appearance, so we also tried the Focal Shape 40 speakers as an alternative. We found the sound quality of the Focal speakers to be slightly more neutral and crisp compared to the Genelec ones.
The test is available from the latest issue From the AVPlus 10/2019 issue.
