Consumer magazine tested no fewer than 47 different stick vacuum cleaners in the price range of 90-1000 euros. Yes, that's right; apparently there are stick vacuum cleaners available for 1000 euros, and from whom else than Miele, of course. At the lower end of the price scale you can find Lidl's own brand Silvercrest. Although with more traditional technology and not the "cyclone" familiar from Dyson vacuum cleaners.
Maybe not quite the core of AVPlussa, but that doesn't matter when the topic is interesting. After all, AVPlus also tested these vacuum cleaners at one time.. Now, Kuluttaja magazine tested no fewer than 47 different stick vacuum cleaners. There was a lot of vacuuming! And in the usual style, the test was very thorough and precisely specced.
According to Kuluttaja magazine, the best stick vacuum cleaners in the test were the Miele Triflex HX2 Pro (€1000) and the slightly cheaper Miele Triflex HX2 Cat and Dog (€700). Perhaps the most well-known brand of stick vacuum cleaners, Dyson, rightfully came in third place with the V12 Detect Slim Absolute (€620). The Samsung Jet 75 Pro VS20T7535T5 (€550), the completely strange Numatic Henry Quick HEN100G (€570) and again the Miele Triflex HX1 Flash (€550), which also received a “Good Buy” mention, were left out of the medallists. The vacuum cleaners were actually very close to each other in terms of points, so the differences are probably very marginal.
Normal human vacuum cleaners
Even the best vacuum cleaners in the test are unlikely to replace a “real” vacuum cleaner that you pull along. A stick vacuum cleaner therefore works more like a quick vacuum cleaner. That is why only a few people are willing to invest several hundred euros in it; let alone 1000 euros. It is difficult to say what such a suitable amount would be, but it is probably less than 300 euros or even significantly less. In the more affordable price category, the Kärcher VC 7 Cordless yourMax, priced at 330 euros, received the “Good Buy” mention, which in practice is sold for well under 300 euros. In the price category under 200 euros, the OBH Nordica X-Pert 6.60 Animal can be mentioned, and among the most affordable ones, the Ariete 2722, priced at only 130 euros, and the OBH Nordica X-Nano EO1127NO, priced at the same price, but really compact and light. The worst scores in the Consumer magazine test, and by a fairly clear margin, were given to the Bissell Icon Pet 2602D and Silvercrest 100359923. Of these, the Bissell still costs 265 euros and the Silvercrest 90 euros.
Although the test was extensive, it was particularly lacking in models in the lower price range, which we think are the most interesting. In order to promote consumer interests, Kuluttaja magazine could give stronger weight in the tests to the most affordable products that people buy the most.
