Three new amplifiers have been released by Sony. Two of them are multichannel home theater amplifiers and one is a stereo amplifier.
The STR-DH790 is a 7.2-channel home theater amplifier that supports 4k HDR output in Dolby Vision and HDR10 formats. On the audio side, it supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround sound, and can also be used as a 5.1.2 channel system. There are four HDMI inputs and one output that supports ARC. In addition, there are four RCA inputs and one coaxial and optical input. Wireless connections are via Bluetooth. The amplifier features Sony’s own Advanced D.C.A.C audio calibration. The recommended price is 450 euros.
The STR-DH590 also supports 4K HDR output in Dolby Vision and HDR10 formats, but it is a 5.2-channel model. It also features Bluetooth connectivity, but no Dolby Atmos or DTS:X. There are four HDMI inputs and one output that supports ARC. In addition, there are four RCA inputs and one coaxial and optical input. The audio calibration is more modest with D.C.A.C. The recommended price is 350 euros.
The STR-DH190 is a stereo amplifier that features Bluetooth connectivity, four analog inputs, and a phono connection. The amplifier can be connected to a- and b-channel speakers. The recommended price is 260 euros.
