Samsung has unveiled a new generation of Micro RGB display that promises to revolutionise ultra-premium television resolution and color reproduction. The innovation is based on a micro-sized RGB LED backlight and combines advanced AI optimization with an impressive viewing experience.
Micro RGB technology is based on RGB LEDs with a size of less than 100 micrometres developed by Samsung, which are arranged neatly behind the entire 115-inch panel. Each red, green and blue LED is controlled separately, enabling exceptionally precise control of the image's colors and contrast.
Unlike traditional backlighting, Micro RGB enables detailed color optimization directly in the light source. According to Samsung, this is a breakthrough that takes consumer displays to a new level of performance.
Artificial intelligence makes the image come alive
The Micro RGB display utilizes the Micro RGB AI engine, which analyzes the image and audio in real time. Artificial intelligence optimization automatically improves the color reproduction of the images, making the content appear even more realistic and immersive.
The AI-based Micro RGB Color Booster Pro specifically detects faint scenes and brings their colors to life. The color reproduction accuracy is ensured by the Micro RGB Precision Color feature, which achieves 100 % coverage in the BT.2020 standard. This performance has also been confirmed by the German VDE.
Protection, style and continuous update support
The Micro RGB is equipped with Glare Free technology that reduces reflections in even bright environments. Externally, the device represents minimalist design combined with a slim metal structure.
Security is handled by the Samsung Knox solution, and on the software side, support is guaranteed with a seven-year Tizen OS update program.
In the initial phase, the Micro RGB display will be available in South Korea, and expansion to the United States is already planned. In the future, a global launch in various sizes is also expected.
