The Latvian service Record Radar has decided to help Spotify users with vinyl purchases. Users log in with their Spotify credentials, after which the service searches for vinyl records from the Discogs record store and collaborative stores based on their playlists.
Results can be filtered by country, city, store, and playlist, and organized by artist, for example. In the Nearby Mode, you can also search only for stores in your vicinity.
With the quick search feature, quite a few records were found. If the specific record isn’t available, the service suggests other records by the same artist. The search function works best with playlists that only include tracks from a specific record. For individual tracks, the results easily include compilations, so searching for an album containing the track requires some effort.
