Bose has unveiled the new QuietComfort 45 noise-canceling headphones. They are a continuation of the popular QuietComfort 35 II models. According to the manufacturer, improvements have been made to the noise cancellation function and battery life.
The noise isolation is said to be better now. There is also a AWARE mode that blocks out environmental sounds. There are four microphones, and according to the manufacturer, speech recognition is significantly better than competitors.
Battery life is now 24 hours on a single charge, compared to the predecessor’s 20 hours. The charging port is now USB-C, and full charging should take two hours. A 15-minute quick charge allows for three hours of listening sessions. Audio quality, usability, stability, and controls are said to remain unchanged.
There is a Volume-optimized Active EQ equalizer available, which emphasizes low and high frequencies according to the volume level.
The appearance is almost exactly the same. The right earbud has four buttons for things like managing calls and adjusting the volume. The button on the left earbud can be used to mute the microphone and switch between different modes.
The ear pads are coated with faux leather, and the headband is reinforced with nylon glass fiber. The color options are black Triple Black and white White Smoke, both in a matte finish. A carrying case is included.
The QuietComfort 45 headphones will go on sale on September 30, 2021. They cost 349.95 euros. Currently, they are available for pre-order on the Bose.fi website and from selected retailers.
