TESTED: Ikea Bluetooth speakers – more than just interior design?

Ikea is not the first brand that comes to mind when talking about Bluetooth speakers. However, its current collection is surprisingly extensive and differs in many ways from regular Bluetooth speakers. Some models resemble more of a decorative object, some also function as a lamp, and there are also small battery-powered mobile speakers. The price range extends from a small speaker for 4,99 euros to interior speakers for 129 euros, so it is not just a cheap product group. We went through Ikea's Bluetooth collection and found out if any of the speakers are really worth anything. And we were surprised!

Ikea's Bluetooth range is surprisingly extensive. However, it's not easy to place the range in the traditional speaker category. Some of the models are clearly interior design items, some are lighting fixtures, some are small portable speakers, and some are closer to normal and traditional home audio.

Many people may still consider Ikea speakers more as interior design elements than actual speakers. At least if you compare them to the well-known brands of Bluetooth speakers. Ikea approaches the product group from a different direction. Design, placement and usage play a more prominent role than technical values.
