Sonos expanding its territory beyond the home?
Sonos, known for its multi-room system, is reportedly planning audio devices for use outside the home. The company’s product manager Nick Millington has said In an interview with Wired magazine, That one of the company's key development goals is to expand the product range beyond the home.
Millington clarifies that in addition to the home, there are several places where music can be listened to. According to him, Sonos wants to be involved in all of them in the near future. Millington does not say more about whether there are plans for portable devices, headphones, outdoor speakers, car speakers, or all of them. What makes it interesting is that Sonos’s system currently relies heavily on the home’s network connection.
