Luxman has unveiled the integrated L-595A SE amplifier. Behind the announcement is this year’s milestone 95th anniversary, which is at least a respectable age for a hi-fi manufacturer. A limited edition of 300 units will be available for the amplifier.
Inspiration for the amplifier’s appearance was drawn from the L-570E amplifier introduced in 1989 and which sold well in the 1990s. Buttons on the front panel control the playback sources, and an LED indicates the volume level. The 88-port LECUA1000 equalizer provides volume control. There is also a headphone jack, audio tone controls, and volume selection buttons for the speakers. The amplifier has a distinctive look thanks to the black aluminum base.
On the inside, the Luxman L-595A SE amplifier is brand new. It delivers eight ohms of power at 30 watts per channel. It includes line level and balanced inputs, as well as a built-in MM/MC phono preamp for vinyl enthusiasts. The signal inputs are kept short to minimize noise. Copper-coated steel has been used to combat noise. This is a heavy-duty series of hi-fi equipment, as the amplifier weighs 27.7 kilograms.
The possible availability and price in Finland are not known yet, but twenty thousand euros is worth preparing for a hefty bill.
