Boston Group is bringing to market extremely lightweight and air conduction technology headphones that are suitable for versatile audio reproduction in all types of conditions safely and without masking environmental sounds.
Shokz, known for its patented audio playback technology, is launching its first wireless Bluetooth 5.2 headphones with a button. The waterproof Shokz OpenFit headphones utilize a unique air conduction technology that allows sound to be transmitted through the ear canal without blocking the ear canal, making it easier for the user to hear the sounds around them, such as other pedestrians and vehicles. This makes using the button headphones safe even in traffic, as the user can more easily hear the sounds around them, such as other pedestrians and vehicles.
Thanks to the unique curved design, the earphone tips curve gracefully and securely around the ear. This ensures that the earphones stay in place even when moving, such as while running or swimming. The curved design also leaves the ear canals open, allowing you to have conversations with other people without interrupting the audio.
Weighing only 8.3 grams and featuring a memory foam ear pad with a thickness of 0.7 millimeters, the headphones are almost invisible on the head. The two-layer silicone padding of the headband ensures a snug fit around the ears, making them easy to wear even for an entire day without pressing on the ears or squeezing the head.
DirectPitch technology ensures an impressive audio playback experience, thanks to which your favorite songs, audiobooks, or podcast broadcasts are played to your ears in an impressive way. The headphones reproduce the high frequencies and mid-frequencies clearly and sharply, while the low bass frequencies are delivered with strength. A special Shokz OpenBass algorithm enhancement suppresses low frequencies, thus transmitting the bass powerfully to the ear canal. The result is a balanced and natural audio experience that captivates the ear regardless of the content being reproduced.
The audio reproduction of the headphones is handled by a custom-made 18 x 11 millimeter composite element with an extremely lightweight structure. Its inner part is made of ultra-light carbon fiber that is up to 20 times stronger than steel. This allows the headphone element to reproduce high-quality sound with utmost precision.

Phone calls are also handled perfectly with the headphones. Thanks to the artificial intelligence-controlled background noise reduction, calls are very clear, as the external noise is filtered out with an accuracy of up to 99.7 percent. This ensures that even noisy environments do not interfere with calls. The control buttons for calls and audio playback are easily accessible from the headphones themselves, making use effortless. Additionally, the functions of the buttons and the frequency correction settings can be easily adjusted via the Shokz phone app.
The headphones get their power from rechargeable batteries with integrated circuitry, which provide enough power for up to seven hours on a single charge. With the charging case included, the power lasts for up to 28 hours. Just five minutes of charging provides enough power for about an hour of listening. Charging the headphones from empty to full takes about an hour, and the battery case charges to full capacity in about two hours.
The Shokz OpenFit earbud headphones are available for 219 euros per unit, including 24 percent VAT.
