LG has announced that the company's latest 5G smartphone, Velvet, will finally be available for sale in Europe as well. Velvet is LG's first smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G system chip. The phone also features 5G support.
In Europe, the LG Velvet will first be available in Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary and Poland. LG has announced that other selected countries in Europe, Asia, the Americas and Africa will be added later. In Finland, LG phones have not been officially available for sale for a few years, and there are no more specific details regarding the arrival of the LG Velvet in Finland. The LG Velvet phone is priced at 649 euros in Italy, and pre-order customers will also receive the Dual Screen accessory, the LG Tone headphones, and a protective case, the total value of which is 400 euros.
The LG Velvet has a 6.8-inch Cinema FullVision display with stereo speakers on the audio playback side, which promises quite good sound quality at least in terms of the user experience. The model aimed at the European market has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The phone also has a slot for a memory card.
The camera in the LG Velvet is a fairly typical implementation of mid-range smartphones. The main camera is a triple camera, which includes a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel depth-sensing camera. LG Velvet’s special feature is ASMR. It can record detailed audio in videos.

The battery in the Velvet model has a capacity of 4300 mAh and charging is possible not only via the USB-C connector but also wirelessly. The new LG Velvet smartphone can be connected to another display using the LG Dual Screen function. In addition, the phone also features support for the Stylus Pen.
