HEDD Audio has released its new A-CORE active speaker family, which leverages the company’s legendary Air Motion Transformer technology. The series includes two studio-grade speaker models, TYPE 05 A-CORE and TYPE 07 A-CORE, hand-crafted in Berlin and equipped with premium components to ensure the clarity and precision of analog audio reproduction.

The roots of the A-CORE series

The collection continues HEDD Audio’s more than 40-year AMT heritage, which was started by engineer Klaus Heinz in the 1970s. A-CORE offers a pure analog alternative to the company’s digital solutions: the sound is heard without the need for complex DSP adjustments, and the plug-and-play principle makes setup effortless.

  • Air Motion Transformer-bass offers ultra-fast transient response and natural sound

  • Custom Honeycomb-woofer In the 5″ TYPE 05 model and the 7″ TYPE 07 model, it produces precise mid-range and deep bass

  • Robust MDF frame structure Minimizes resonances and withstands high sound pressures

  • 2×100 W Class D-ICE amplifiers is integrated directly into the speaker

Implementation and control

The settings are easily adjusted using the buttons on the back of the speaker (volume, bass and treble boost ± 6 dB). The LED logo on the front panel serves as a manual standby switch: the speakers wake up from standby with a single press.

Availability and prices

TYPE 05 A-CORE will be available from May 2025 at a unit price of 599 euros, and TYPE 07 A-CORE will arrive in June 2025 at a recommended price of 699 euros.

Target group

A-CORE is designed for musicians, audio engineers, and home theater enthusiasts who seek the immediate touch and ease of use of analog audio reproduction without the need for additional DSP adjustments.
