The Galaxy Xcover 4S phone designed for tough handling from Samsung will be available for sale in Finland before mid-July. The phone has been added to the websites of at least Verkkokauppa.com and Gigant at a price of 299 euros.
What makes this phone special is its sturdy construction; it has been awarded the MIL-STD 810G certification for resistance to impact and vibrations. Additionally, the phone has an IP68 rating, meaning it should be able to withstand immersion in water up to 1.5 meters for half an hour.
The phone has an Exynos 7885 system chip, three gigabytes of RAM and 32 gigabytes of storage. You can expand the storage with a microSD card if you wish. The rear camera has a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, and the front camera has a five-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.
The display is 5 inches in size and is made using LCD technology. Its resolution is 1,280 x 720 pixels. Below the display are physical navigation buttons. The battery has a modest capacity of 2,800 mAh, but the charging port is USB-C and the battery is also removable. The phone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The operating system is the latest Android 9.0 Pie.
