With the Philips Hue Sync TV app, owners of newer Samsung TVs can seamlessly synchronize Philips Hue lighting throughout the home with the TV.
Philips is still the only TV brand that offers built-in ambient lighting with Ambilight, but a paid app brings something similar to Samsung TVs. Unfortunately, the Philips Hue Sync TV app is only available for Samsung smart TVs that are from 2022 or newer. The app is available for all 2022 models starting with the Q60 model, and it is easy to install through the App Store. The app is not available for devices from other manufacturers, such as LG or Sony. It works with everything you play on the TV and supports all video formats.
Through the app, the user can select the Philips Hue lights to be synced and adjust their position and height relative to the TV. The user can also adjust the brightness and intensity of the lighting, select a video or game mode, enable automatic start, and much more.
The application costs 130 euros.
