NAD has unveiled the C 3050 LE amplifier. This retro-style celebration model, limited to 1972 units and numbered, features LED-lit VU meters and a walnut veneer-finished enclosure.
However, the insides boast fresh technology such as BluOS, which offers high-resolution multi-room audio, MQA file support, Dirac room correction, AirPlay 2, and a two-way aptX HD Bluetooth connection.
The physical connections include HDMI eARC, a phono input for a record player, and a headphone jack with dedicated amplifiers. The amplifier is NAD’s newest HybridDigital, which provides 100 watts of power per channel. The DA converter is high-resolution.
The NAD C 3050 LE is based on the amplifier introduced in 2013, which offered 30 watts in the sub-category. A certificate of authenticity is included. The amplifier will be available in mid-October. If the LE model is not purchased for some reason, next year there will only be the C 3050 model, which does not include the BluOS features and Diracia offered by the MDC2 module. However, the latter can be purchased separately.
Availability and price in Finland are not known.
