Save electricity and money with smart battery thermostats. By automating your home heating, you can easily reduce your electricity usage, as you can turn the heating on at a lower setting or completely off when you’re not at home. In addition to automation, you can also control the heating remotely whenever and wherever you are, as long as you’re connected to the internet.
Smart heating
With the Hama smart heater thermostat, you can easily adjust the heating and automate the heating, for example based on the time of day. This way, you can reduce the heating when you are away from home, for example. The heating also switches off when it reaches the set temperature. With the Away mode, for example, which is suitable for holiday trips, the heating stays at a steady 16-degree temperature, which clearly saves electricity and ensures that pipes do not freeze. You can also adjust the temperature in the bedroom, for example, to be cooler for the night to ensure good sleep. In the morning, on the other hand, especially noisy cats appreciate a warmer room. You can also adjust the temperature in each room individually to suit everyone.
Connecting to other smart devices
The heater thermostat works with the ZigBee connection and requires a Hama central unit to operate. The central unit, in turn, connects the heater thermostats via WiFi. By connecting the heater thermostats, for example with a window and door sensor, you can further improve your heating. This way, you can have the heating turned off when the window or door is opened, so you don’t heat the air unnecessarily.
Easy to install
Modifying your heating system to be smart is easy; all you need to do is replace the old thermostat with a smart one and connect it to the central unit and the network. The package includes four different adapters that allow you to install the smart thermostats on all the most common radiator valves: Danfoss RA, Danfoss RAV, Caleffi and Giacomini.
Can I change the smart thermostat myself?
Changing ownership of an apartment is of course allowed, and in apartment associations (apartment buildings and terraced houses) the resident can also change the thermostats themselves. However, it is advisable to ask permission to change the thermostat in a rental apartment.
Control with the app, voice, or manually
Controlling the thermostat is easy with the free Hama Smart Home app, whether you want to automate or manually adjust the heating. Hama smart products are compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri Shortcuts, so controlling them is also possible via voice. The thermostat can also be adjusted by turning it normally.
