Creative's affordable Sound Blaster audio card

The Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1 is an external USB audio card that features a 600 ohm headphone amplifier for stunning and detailed audio even on studio-grade headphones. The audio card is based on Creative’s SBX Pro Studio processing technology, which ensures precise and lifelike audio reproduction.

In addition to versatile audio playback capabilities, the audio card features comprehensive recording features. These are particularly beneficial for content creators, for whom creating podcast broadcasts and making YouTube music videos are important tasks. Thanks to the dual-array microphone, recording music proceeds accurately. Thanks to CrystalVoice technology, the recorded audio quality improves even further.

As an external USB audio card, setting up the device for PCs or Macs is easy. It takes its power from the USB port, so it’s easy to use on the go. The audio card also has easy-to-use controls and connections for various devices. Thanks to Dolby Digital Live technology, users can connect the audio card optically to their home theater equipment with one cable if they wish. This allows for multi-channel 5.1 surround sound to be available both digitally and analogically.

In addition to the external audio card, Creative announced two internal audio card models. The Sound Blaster Audigy Rx is a full-size PCIe audio card with multichannel 7.1 surround sound. The Sound Blaster Audigy Fx, on the other hand, is a semi-high PCIe audio card with multichannel 5.1 surround sound. Both models feature 600 ohm headphone amplifiers, a 106 dB signal-to-noise ratio, and versatile software.

The Sound Blaster Audigy Rx model includes more versatile recording features with two microphone connections. The included EAX Studio software also allows you to customize the sound effects for movies, games, music, and voice over. Additionally, the audio card comes with a PC software for managing audio playback and recording.

The Sound Blaster Audigy Fx is a more stripped-down alternative to its predecessor. However, it is well suited for watching movies, listening to music, and even playing games. The Fx model also comes with a PC software for controlling audio playback and recording.

The Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1, Sound Blaster Audigy Rx and Sound Blaster Audigy Fx are available at consumer prices of 79, 69 and 39 euros. All prices include 24 percent VAT.
