Chord Electronics has introduced a new 2yu digital interface. It allows the previously presented Chordin 2go streamer to be independently operated. If desired, the device can also be used as a companion to Hugo M Scaler or any other DA converter.
The device supports PCM playback from CD-quality 44.1 kHz to 16 bit, up to 768 kHz and 32 bit. DSD playback is handled in 64–256-bit steps. The device has USB-A for full audio quality output. Through the BNC and coaxial RCA connectors, PCM up to 384 kHz and DSD128 can be played, and via optical connection, PCM up to 96 kHz and DSD64 can be played. The processor power output is 2,000 MIPS.
The 2go streamer, on the other hand, has the necessary Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Bluetooth for streaming, in addition to functioning as a Roon endpoint and also playing via the DLNA server and AirPlay. The internal battery promises an 8-hour battery life. The device supports the acc-, wav-, flac-, aiff-, alac-, wma-, mp3-, and ogg vorbis formats. There are two memory card slots on the device, and they can hold a maximum of 4 terabytes of music.
The price of the 2yu is 549 euros. The 2go, on the other hand, costs 1,240 euros. Both are handmade from aluminum of aircraft-level quality in Britain. The color options are black and silver in both cases.
