The Danish design audio manufacturer Bang & Olufsen has introduced two updated Beosound speakers. Both of them are wireless. In addition to the new color options and the updated design, the speakers now have a module that allows them to be upgraded later with modern technology.
In the fifth generation of the oval-shaped Beosound A9, the volume can be adjusted by moving your hand across the surface. With the flick of a switch, you can hop over the rail and start and stop playback. Finishing options include black anthracite, gold and aluminum.
The third-generation of the Cardboard Beosound 2 has improved user interface. It now also features active room correction, which identifies the speaker’s position in the room and optimizes playback accordingly. Finishing options include black anthracite, in addition to the already familiar gold and aluminum.
But the most significant innovation is the Mozart software platform, which is intended to remain up to date with the latest connectivity and streaming technologies in the future. It includes a replaceable module. B&O has previously introduced Mozart in its Theatre soundbar.
The fifth generation of Beosound A9 will be available in March, with prices starting at 3299 euros. The third generation of Beosound 2 will be available in April, priced at 2999 euros.
