Backbone turns your mobile phone into a console

Backbone recently created the Backbone One PlayStation Edition in close collaboration with PlayStation and its design team, which is inspired by the PS5 wireless DualSense controller. Backbone is the only mobile controller with a PlayStation license and has also been released as an Xbox Edition. Backbone has received funding from numerous content creators, including MrBeast, founder of 100 Thieves Nadeshot, Preston, Kwebbelkop, and Typical Gamer. It is also backed by Night Media and Ashton Kutcher's Sound Ventures.

Backbone has created an ecosystem where almost all game content and services are available in one place – on your phone. It was founded by 24-year-old Maneet Khaira while working on the gaming side at Google. Backbone’s software and hardware make streaming cloud games and core gaming effortless and fun. Players simply connect their phone to a Backbone One device and can immediately play mobile games from the App Store and Apple Arcade, stream games via cloud gaming services like Xbox Game Pass and Nvidia Geforce Now, and play Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Steam games from anywhere via remote play.

”The founding of Backbone had one true goal: to improve the gaming experience for everyone and everywhere,” says Backbone founder and CEO Maneet Khaira. ”Just as Sonos and Roku have done for music and TV streaming, Backbone connects all gaming streaming services and key gaming experiences on mobile devices.”

The most important features of Backbone One:

• Play any game that supports controllers
• Foldable and compact design
• Low latency connection
