Amazon's music service and smart speakers to Finland
In Finland, the hottest smart speaker boom has largely had to be followed from the sidelines, as Amazon Echo and Google Home have not been available here. After the turn of the year, Apple's first smart speaker may also stir things up.
Amazon now appears to have launched a full-frontal attack, as it expands the availability of its Amazon Music Unlimited music service and Echo smart speakers to 28 new countries, including Finland.
Amazon Music Unlimited is available on Android and iOS mobile devices, as well as Mac and PC desktop apps. It can also be used via a web browser. The monthly price is 9,99 euros. A family subscription for six people is available for 14,99 euros. With the Echo subscription method, the service can be used on one Echo device for 3,99 euros per month. Amazon Music Unlimited has over 40 million songs.
The prices for Echo smart speakers are as follows:
Echo Dot: €59,99
Echo: €100
Echo Plus: €150
Echo Show: €220, includes a seven-inch screen and is capable of video calls.
All Echo speakers support Alexa voice control. So far, at least, it has not been announced that Alexa voice control will be available in Finnish, so you must have some knowledge of English.
