AfterShokz Xtrainerz headphones based on bone conduction technology are coming to market in Finland. They are not traditional earplugs; sound is sensed through the bones of the skull, leaving the ear canal open.
Special features include a USB-based music player with a four gigabyte storage memory that can hold approximately 1,200 songs. Therefore, the phone may not need to be carried on a walk. The battery is said to last for eight hours. Charging takes one and a half hours.
The headphones are also waterproof, so they can be used while exercising or swimming. They have been tested in a 72-hour salt water test, after which they function as expected according to the manufacturer. The headphones are made of titanium.
The recommended price for the AfterShokz Xtrainerz headphones is 169 euros. The color options are black, gray, blue, and red.
