The High End trade show is being held for the first time this year in Vienna. The traditional Munich event will be held at the Austria Center Vienna, where the trade show will be open from June 4 to 7, 2026. Thursdays and Fridays are reserved for professionals, and the public days are Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7.
High End Vienna is one of the key music and audio exhibition centers in Europe.
There is also a change at the heart of the event. High End was long a trade fair strongly associated with Munich, but the Austria Center in Vienna offers a new environment for both the exhibition halls and the listening rooms. The transition makes the 2026 event interesting not only because of the manufacturers, but also because it will be possible to assess how the new venue will function as a key meeting place for the industry.
Celebrations and major announcements
One of the manufacturers that have been previously tracked is Arcam, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. According to What Hi-Fi?, the company has promised significant new products for Vienna, but the exact model details are still under discussion. Tannoy, on the other hand, celebrates its 100th anniversary with limited edition special models from the Prestige Gold Reference series.
New innovations are coming from several manufacturers on the speaker front. Audiovector will debut the new R 5 Arreté model in Vienna on the evening of the event, and the R 10 Arreté will also be on display. Neat Acoustics expands its Classic series with the Vito floor speaker, KLH Audio presents narrower speaker models designed to be placed close to the wall, and Jamo showcases new Concert series speakers. The High End Society’s Top News list also includes, among others, the electrostatic speakers from Lirogo and MP&S Klangwelt and the Versura V6 from AUER Acoustics.
Headphones and desktop speakers prominently featured
In Vienna, headphones have a more visible role than usual, as the High End fair has its own World of Headphones area. It is a separate, color-coded area located within the exhibition halls, where manufacturers, importers, and retailers present portable and more dedicated headphone technology. The idea behind the area is practical: visitors can safely try and compare different headphones, headphone amplifiers, and other equipment related to personal listening.
World of Headphones complements the traditional speaker and amplifier focus of trade shows. Among the products on display from the headphone side in advance are FiiO’s JT9 planar headphones and the new Class A headphone amplifier, Astell&Kern’s Clarus in-ear headphones, Noble Audio’s Osprey noise-canceling earbuds, and the Grell OAE2, Hoxit Audio planar headphones mentioned on the High End Society news list, as well as the Zählin H1 headphone amplifier and the Lux Sound X9 headphone amplifier/DAC.
This shows that High End Vienna is no longer just a trade fair for large audio systems. Headphones, desktop audio, portable players and audio amplifiers have grown into a distinct entity that serves both home listening and personal, location-independent listening.
Digital playback, streaming, and integrated solutions
On the digital playback side, several new products are on display. Moon expands its Compass series with the 491 streaming amplifier and the 461 power amplifier. T+A brings the SDX 3100 HV streaming DAC/power amplifier to Vienna, Ferrum Audio presents the BROEN network player, and Eversolo highlights the Play-all-in-one solution that combines streaming, decoding, and amplification.
These new developments reflect a broader trend: devices that combine traditional discrete components with online audio players, DACs, preamplifiers, and amplifiers can now be found in the same chassis. In high-end audio, discrete components are not disappearing; however, functionally, devices are increasingly approaching modern streaming and multi-use solutions.
Vinyl, ribbons and more traditional high-end
Alongside digital products, more traditional high-end products are also on display in Vienna. soulution presents the 787 record player, Revox brings sound systems, speakers, record players, tape recorders and recordings to its booth, and Siltech presents the Classic Legend MkII cable series.
This preserves the basic nature of the fairs: High End Vienna is not just a showcase for new digital technology, but also includes vinyl, tape technology, cables, stands, special loudspeakers and other traditional high-end product categories.
What should you expect from the fair?
Based on preliminary data, High End Vienna 2026 seems to combine three clear lines. The first is traditional high-end: large speakers, separate amplifiers, turntables, and special solutions. The second is the strengthening of digital playback and integrated equipment. The third is the rise of headphone and desktop audio into the same exhibition package.
The final details of the trade shows will only be revealed on-site, but based on the preliminary listings, we can expect both major manufacturers' announcements and solutions from smaller specialty brands in Vienna. The new venue makes the 2026 High End event even more interesting from a trade show experience perspective.
