Samsung launches budget Galaxy M series in India, includes M10 and M20
Samsung has released a new Galaxy M phone series. The first representatives of the series, the Galaxy M10 and M20, were launched at an event held in India. They are united by a display with a teardrop notch, which also allows for a large screen-to-body ratio. For now, it is unclear whether the new products will be seen in Finland at some point.
The larger Galaxy M20 has a 6,3-inch display that reaches Full HD+ resolution. On the back is a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. On the front is an 8-megapixel camera.
The system chip is an octa-core Exynos 7904. RAM memory is available from three to four gigabytes. The battery capacity is quite a large 5,000 mAh and charging is done via a USB-C charging port with fast charging. The phone has a fingerprint reader for identification. The operating system is Android 8 Oreo.
The cheaper Galaxy M10, on the other hand, has a 6,22-inch display with a more modest HD+ resolution. It also has 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras on the back, but only a 5-megapixel camera on the front instead of 8-megapixel.
The system chip is the Exynos 7870, and there is two to three gigabytes of RAM. Storage space is 16–32 gigabytes. The battery has a more conventional capacity of 3,400 mAh. The Galaxy M10 model also lacks a fingerprint reader.
