KRK has introduced two new monitor speakers. The small GoAux4 and the even smaller GoAux3 are suitable for travel due to their size. The number refers to the speaker element's diameter in inches.
The speakers are sold in pairs. One is an active speaker and includes the amplifiers for both speakers. The included desk stands also allow the monitors to be tilted. The sound can be adjusted using bass and treble controls, with three positions: three decibels of reduction, neutral, and two decibels of enhancement.
The speaker units are in pairs, and there is a reflex port on the back. The membrane for the bass/midrange unit is made of glass-fiber cloth and the membrane for the one-inch tweeter is made of soft fabric. Both speakers are said to reproduce at – 3 dB within 65 hertz to 20 kHz. However, the larger model reaches 55 hertz – within 10 dB, while the smaller one remains at 60 hertz. The instantaneous maximum sound pressure in the larger model also reaches 108 dB, while the smaller one remains at 105 dB.
There is also a slight difference between the two models in terms of connectivity. The smaller GoAux3 has RCA and 3.5 mm inputs, while the GoAux4 also has 6.3 mm balanced TRS connectors. Additionally, it includes Bluetooth connectivity and the GoAux4 also has a USB port.
A padded nylon carrying bag is included.
KRK GoAux3 costs 375 euros.
KRK GoAux4 costs 435 euros.
