Kii adds a powerful expansion module for floorstanding speakers to Audi – power output 7 kilowatts
Kii Audio has introduced the BXT add-on module to its Kii 3 active monitor speakers, which transforms them into floor speakers. It comes with 16 additional speaker elements and a total of 7 kilowatts of power. This helps to achieve bass frequencies of 20 Hertz in larger rooms even at higher sound pressure levels.
The BXT is available either as a package with 3 speakers or separately. At least in the package option, the Kii Control controller unit is also included, featuring a volume control, a touch-sensitive selector for the playback source and an OLED display. The inputs in Control are USB, coaxial and optical.
The chassis-mounted 3-speaker system has six drivers, each of which has its own optimized 250-watt amplifier. The total power output is 1,500 watts. In addition to the mid- and high frequencies, the subwoofer is also directional. The enclosure is sealed, and the speakers include a built-in DAC and digital signal processor.
