Flexound, a Finnish company known for its sound cushions, introduced a new Augmented Audio module for installation in seats at CES 2019. It brings a tactile element to the listening experience and is intended for listening to music in the car or at home, gaming, and watching TV and movies in (home) theaters.
The first cinema equipped with Flexound's Augmented Audio playback will be launched in Finland in February. In addition, the Silmu chair equipped with the same solution will be available. The solution is promised to provide consistent sound quality regardless of location in the theater, for example, better dialogue reproduction, immersiveness, and a powerful experience without high sound pressure.
