Samsung unveiled the world's first dual UHD gaming monitor: Odyssey Neo G9 57″

Samsung Electronics today presented insights into the future of gaming displays. The latest additions to the Odyssey lineup are the Odyssey Neo G9 57″ (G95NC model) and the Odyssey Ark 55″ (G97NC model). The Odyssey Neo G9 57″ (G95NC model) is designed to provide revolutionary visual experiences for gamers who seek better performance and want to stay ahead of the curve. Equipped with the world’s first Dual Ultra-High-Definition (DUHD) display and connectivity for fast connections, the Odyssey Neo G9 57″ has already earned the Best of Innovation award at CES 2023.

The curved (1000R) 57-inch 32:9 display is equivalent to two 32-inch UHD displays in width, and it surrounds the viewer with a razor-sharp image from a full-width field of view. Immersive features immerse the viewer deeper into the gaming world than ever before.

The Samsung Quantum Mini LED backlight on the display works with Quantum Matrix technology, which provides smaller, separate dimming zones. The result is a clearer distinction between the light and dark areas of the display, sharper contrast, and less light glare from bright areas to darker areas.

The Odyssey Neo G9 57″ takes full advantage of the Quantum Mini LED backlight by combining it with VESA Display HDR™1000 technology. With a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, HDR content looks vibrant and realistic, featuring precise color and contrast reproduction as well as improved color and depth features.

When gaming performance meets visual quality, players can unlock their full potential. The 240-Hz refresh rate and under 1 ms gray-to-gray (GTG) response time bring less lag to the screen, minimizing so-called ghosting, allowing the player to react to game events instantly and improve their winning chances while enjoying a smooth and exciting gaming experience. Additionally, AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro technology synchronizes the display, ensuring a stable and clear image.

The Odyssey Neo G9 57″ offers VESA-certified DisplayPort (DP) 2.1 connectivity, enabling smooth gaming, efficient video playback, and even the Neo G9’s 240Hz DUHD resolution. In addition to the DP2.1 connection, the Odyssey Neo G9 57″ also offers an HDMI 2.1 connection and a USB hub, allowing gamers to connect all their devices to it and improve their gaming experience with less clutter.

Thanks to a wide, high-definition display and a new interface that sets a new standard for the generation, the player can use only one Odyssey Neo G9 57″ display instead of several screens. This helps keep the desktop tidy and create a comfortable working environment for multiple simultaneous tasks. With Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes, content can be viewed from multiple sources at a glance. The display uses Auto Source Switch+ to instantly connect to new devices without having to browse through sources. The ergonomic stand, Core Lighting+, and CoreSync make the display suitable for any environment and match the game’s atmosphere with the surrounding lighting.

The world’s first 55-inch gaming monitor with 1000R curvature, Odyssey Ark, is being updated. The new product is a continuation of the successful original Odyssey Ark display, and has been significantly upgraded based on feedback from players. In addition to stunning image quality, design, and professional gaming performance, the new features that enhance connectivity, comfort, and performance meet the needs of gamers seeking the ultimate entertainment experience.

The display’s 165 Hz refresh rate and under 1 ms GTG response time give players an edge in winning, and Cockpit Mode opens up entirely new perspectives in the vertical direction.

The new Samsung Multi View add-on feature on the Odyssey Ark display (G97NC model) allows for the use of up to four different sources of content at the same time. It also significantly improves the shared-screen capabilities, giving the player full control and convenience with a single display, even when using external devices. One display that combines content from multiple sources keeps the desktop streamlined and clutter-free, allowing the player to focus on gaming. In the new Multi View mode, the user can view content from three HDMI ports and the DP1.4 interface simultaneously. This new DP connection also supports 4K UHD streaming for a high-quality entertainment experience.

The Odyssey Ark is now more than just a personal gaming display – it can handle all your computer needs alone. The added KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) switching feature makes the Ark display a command center for smooth, simultaneous work on multiple devices. The user can now control all the devices connected to the display with a single mouse and keyboard.

In Finland, the Odyssey Neo G9 57” is now available for pre-order starting today at a recommended price of 2599 euros, and the updated G97NC version of the Odyssey Ark is now available at a recommended price of 2699 euros.
