Signify has unveiled new Philips Hue smart lights. The new feature is that they do not require a separate central control unit. The lights can be screwed into a traditional light fixture and are available with E27 and GU10 sockets.
With the smartphone app and Bluetooth connection, you can adjust the room lighting and set the lighting to automatically change, for example, according to the time of day. The lights can be controlled from multiple smartphones.
Smart lights also obey virtual assistants. The Amazon Alexa voice control requires only an Echo smart speaker. The Google Assistant currently requires a Philips Hue Bridge router, but that should work with Google Home devices in the near future.
The White lamp is white and its price is 19.95 euros. The White Ambiance lamp, on the other hand, offers more light shades and costs 29.95 euros. The White and Color Ambiance lamp, on the other hand, offers millions of color shades and costs 59.95 euros.
The lamps are expected to be available in stores in the fall.
