Turtle Beach has unveiled the new Recon 200 Gen 2 gaming headphones. They are not compatible with any specific gaming console; they are compatible with Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PCs, and mobile devices via a traditional 3.5mm plug connection.
The headphone elements are 40 millimeters in size and equipped with neodymium magnets. Structurally, the Recon 200 Gen 2 gaming headphones are closed and surround the ear. The headband is coated with soft neoprene. The earphone cushions are made of fabric and filled with memory foam. According to the manufacturer, the headphones are also suitable for use with glasses.
The headphones can be used with battery power in active mode and without battery power in passive mode. There is enough power from the battery for 12 hours of use. The headphones have a boom microphone that mutates automatically when tilted to the top position.
There is master volume control, microphone to headset volume control, and a switch for selecting between Xbox and Playstation platforms. Supported spatial audio technologies include Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, DTS Headphone X, and Sony 3D Audio.
The recommended retail price for the Recon 200 Gen 2 headphones is 59.99 euros. Sales start on September 19th and the headphones are available in white, black, and dark blue.
