The latest version of the Playstation 4 Pro is several decibels quieter than its predecessors.
The latest production version of the PlayStation 4 Pro game console is significantly quieter than its predecessor, reports Digital Foundry, Which tested the noise level and temperature of the devices. This might be worth noting if you plan to purchase this particular device, for example, at a clothing store.
So far, only the CUH-7200 version, which is included with Red Dead Redemption 2, is quieter than the previous versions. While the noise level of the first CUH-7000 model was measured at 50 decibels at the front and 55 decibels at the back, the figures for the next CUH-7100 were 47/50 and the latest 44/48 decibels. A drop of 6–7 decibels is already significant for gaming comfort. As a counterweight, the console’s temperature is about five degrees higher than the first model.
