Huawei's Watch Fit 5 series has arrived in Finland - more fitness and wellness features are being brought to smartwatches
The new Watch Fit 5 series emphasizes lightweight construction, sports tracking, health features and Curve Pay contactless payments. The Watch Fit 5 and Watch Fit 5 Pro will be launched in Finland, while other new products introduced at the global launch will remain outside Finland for the time being.
From a Finnish perspective, the focus is on Watch Fit 5
The Huawei Watch Fit 5 series has become available in Finland on May 18, 2026 through selected retailers. The collection includes the Watch Fit 5 and the Watch Fit 5 Pro, of which the recommended price for the basic model is 199 euros and the price for the Pro model is 299 euros. In connection with the release, a campaign discount of 50 euros is available on both models, which is valid until June 14, 2026.
The new series continues the familiar square design of the Watch Fit collection. The focus is on lightness, a bright display, and sports and wellness features. The Pro model uses sapphire glass and a titanium frame, while the entire series emphasizes a structure suitable for active everyday life.
The Pro model emphasizes outdoor activities and a bright display
The Watch Fit 5 Pro stands out from the basic model especially with its outdoor and sports features. The Pro model has been introduced, among other things, with a trail running mode, golf features for over 17,000 courses, and freediving support up to 40 meters deep. On the display side, the Pro model uses a 1,92-inch AMOLED display, with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
Battery life is said to be up to 10 days with light use and around seven days with typical use. In addition, fast charging and wireless charging are supported.
Other new products will remain outside Finland for the time being.
The same global launch also saw the introduction of the Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 – Racing Legend Edition, Huawei Watch Ultimate Design – Spring Edition and the MatePad Pro Max tablet. The Watch GT Runner 2 special edition was developed in collaboration with marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge, while the Watch Ultimate Design model features diamonds, sapphire crystal and a jewel-like finish.
The MatePad Pro Max, on the other hand, was introduced as a very thin and light flagship tablet. The device is reported to weigh 509 grams and be 4,7 millimeters thick, and it uses a 13,2-inch 3K OLED PaperMatte display. However, these products are not yet being introduced to the Finnish market, so from the perspective of domestic availability, the focus of the news remains on the Watch Fit 5 series.
