At the Made by Google event, Google has introduced a new generation of Pixel Buds headphones. They are now completely wireless, whereas the previous model had a cable running from the back of the head.
The special headphones are promised Bluetooth range of up to 90 meters. So the phone doesn’t have to be nearby all the time. The charging case is now smaller than its predecessor. It is promised to provide a total of 24 hours of battery life with the headphones’ own battery. The headphones themselves have enough power for five hours of use. Other features include support for Google Assistant voice control and translation.
The headphones will go on sale in the spring of 2020. Their price in the United States is 179 euros, which is more than the Apple AirPod headphones. There is currently no information as to whether the headphones will also be sold in Finland.
