Audio-Technica's affordable wireless headphones for sensitive ears
Audio-Technica has unveiled the full-wireless ATH-SQ1TW headphones. The in-ear headphones feature 5.8mm drivers that are said to deliver clear and powerful sound. The headphones also have built-in microphones that allow users to stay aware of their surroundings.
There is a low-latency mode for games and video. The headphones automatically turn on when you take them out of the charging case and off again when you put them back in. There are touch controls that allow you to control playback, answer calls, and adjust the volume.
The headphones are promised to offer IPX4-equivalent protection against splashes. The battery life is stated as 6.5 hours on a single charge, and with the charging case you can get an additional 13 hours of listening time. If the battery runs out during all of that, a one-hour quick charge gives you an extra hour of listening time.
Among the color options, many boast the names in their own way: Blueberry, Caramel, Popsicle and Cupcake – also black is available in Licorice and white in Popcorn. The colors also extend to the charging case, charging cable and ear tips.
The headphones, at their recommended price of 89 euros, are a more affordable option than the wireless ones.
