Report: CES 2023

On the cutting edge of technological trends. In January, one of the world's most important technology events, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) was once again held in Las Vegas – this time, after a full year of pandemic restrictions. We have compiled a comprehensive overview of the most interesting and up-to-date innovations from the vast product offerings of the tech trade shows!

Comparison: Affordable and compact online speakers from 85 to 379 euros

Online features are already standard on many new audio players, but even older or simpler audio players can be brought up to date with a compact and affordable online player. We reviewed five different options: the Arylic S10, the NuPrime Omnia Stream Mini, the Pro-Ject Stream Box S2, the Taga Harmony TWA-10B, and the Wiim Mini.

Test: Perlisten R4b floor-standing speakers – Precise interpreters of music

5000 euros for a small stand-mounted speaker pair? But if even a few people can listen to it for a longer period of time, then that amount of money probably won't feel so bad anymore.

Comparison: Epson EH-TW-6250 UHD & CO-FH02 FHD video projectors

Two great options for home theater: 1100 euro 4K UHD or 600 euro FullHD? The prices of UHD or 4k projectors have dropped, and you can already get one from Epson for about a ton. On the other hand, the lineup includes a decent fullhd model for almost half the price. Which one do you choose?

Test: TCL 55C735 TV

High-quality picture at a reasonable price – the TCL C735 is a true all-around TV that succeeds in just about everything in the center of the room just fine!

Experiment: Camp radios – Shifting light, power and sound

The camping radio is a handy device in many situations where there is no power available. It functions as a light, a radio, an SOS signal device, and in addition, it can also provide power to the phone in an emergency. We tested three different camping radios.

Experiment: A tiny little 1080p WiFi Mini camera

Almost unnoticed, but…

Test: Vestlyd V12C and V15C – high-fidelity PA speakers

The essence of the Danish Vestlyd loudspeakers correlates well with the core of the brand’s design philosophy: according to the manufacturer, the foundation of the sound is dynamic, fast, and as live-like a possible reproduction, as well as the ability to produce concert-level sound pressure when necessary.

Experiment: Creative Stage 360 & Sound Blaster Katana V2X soundbar speakers

In addition to its other products, the multimedia device manufacturer Creative has also been successful in the soundbar segment. We tried two compact alternatives, one of which is more traditional for TV sets, while the other sits in front of a gaming console.

Experiment: Withings ScanWatch Horizon – Smartness in a real watch

Touch-screen smartwatches do a good job of imitating traditional wristwatches, but they are not real watches. Their displays also consume a lot of power. With the Withings ScanWatch Horizon hybrid smartwatch, the smart features are hidden within the shell of a stylish and traditional wristwatch.

Experiment: OnePlus 11 5G smartphone

The OnePlus 11 flagship phone offers the latest in cutting-edge hardware, a reasonable camera lineup, and a long lifespan with updates included.

Experiment: Lemfo T92 -All-In-One Smartwatch with Wireless Headphones

The Chinese invented everything, and it doesn’t even cost much! How about an IP68-rated waterproof smartwatch with plenty of features and included earphone cables for under 100 euros?

In the test: Yamaha TW-E7B full wireless earbuds

Personalized challengers – The fully wireless headphones of the flagship model from Yamaha challenge premium-class competitors. Do they offer enough resistance?

More power for your headphones – iFi Audio Go Link mobile headphone amplifier/DAC

When you want to listen to wired headphones on your phone or laptop, a USB DAC and a separate headphone amplifier are a convenient way to upgrade the sound. One affordable but effective option is the iFin Go Link.

In the test: OnePlus Buds Pro 2 full-wireless earbuds

Excellent sound – Alongside its flagship phone, mobile manufacturer OnePlus unveiled new wireless headphones that surprised with their sound quality.

History of the phonograph: Tandberg TR-220

Tandberg, known for his radios, tapes and televisions, has a lot in common with Nokia.

And of course

Choices for the turntable, application tips, the latest news and the most current topics, as well as traditional and new technology from the world.
