High End Vienna 2026 – What's coming to the fair?

The High End trade fair will be held in Vienna for the first time this year. The traditional Munich event will move to the Austria Center Vienna, where the trade fair will be open from 4 to 7 June 2026. Thursday and Friday are reserved for professionals, and the public days are Saturday 6.6 June and Sunday 7.6 June.

High End Vienna is one of Europe's leading hi-fi and high-end audio fairs.

The event is also being held under a change. High End was a trade fair that was long strongly associated with Munich, but the Austria Center in Vienna offers a new environment for both exhibition stands and listening rooms. The move also makes the 2026 event interesting because, in addition to the manufacturers, it will be possible to assess how the new venue functions as a central meeting place for the industry.

Anniversaries and big announcements

One of the manufacturers we're following in advance is Arcam, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. According to What Hi-Fi?, the company has promised significant new products for Vienna, but exact model details are still open. Tannoy, meanwhile, is celebrating its 100th anniversary with limited edition Prestige Gold Reference series special models.

On the speaker side, there are new products coming from several manufacturers. Audiovector is bringing the new R 5 Arreté model to Vienna for the world premiere, and the R 10 Arreté will also be on display. Neat Acoustics is expanding its Classic series with the Vito floorstanding speaker, KLH Audio is introducing narrower speaker models designed for placement close to the wall, and Jamo is introducing new Concert series speakers. High End Society's Top News list also includes electrostatic speakers from Lirogon and MP&S Klangwelten, as well as the Versura V6 from AUER Acoustics.

Headphones and desktop hifi strongly featured

Headphones are taking on a more prominent role in Vienna than usual, with the High End trade fair featuring its own World of Headphones area. It is a separate, color-coded area located in the exhibition halls where manufacturers, importers and retailers showcase portable and fixed headphone technology. The idea behind the area is practical: visitors can freely try out and compare different headphones, headphone amplifiers and other personal listening equipment.

World of Headphones complements the fair's traditional speaker and amplifier focus. On the headphone side, the preview includes FiiO's JT9 planar headphones and new class A headphone amplifier, Astell&Kern's Clarus in-ear headphones, Noble Audio's Osprey noise-cancelling in-ear headphones, and the grell OAE2, Hoxit Audio's planar headphones, Zähl's H1 headphone amplifier, and Lux's X9 headphone amplifier/DAC, all of which were mentioned in the High End Society news list.

This shows that High End Vienna is no longer just a trade fair for large loudspeaker systems. Headphones, table hi-fi, portable players and headphone amplifiers have grown into their own distinct entity, serving both home listening and personal, space-independent listening.

Digital playback, streaming and integrated solutions

On the digital playback side, there are several new products on display. Moon is expanding its Compass series with the 491 streaming preamplifier and the 461 power amplifier. T+A is bringing the SDX 3100 HV streaming DAC/preamplifier to Vienna, Ferrum Audio is introducing the BROEN network player, and Eversolo is showcasing the Play-all-in-one solution that combines streaming, decoding, and amplifier.

These new products illustrate a broader development: alongside the traditional discrete device concept, devices are becoming more common in which a network player, DAC, preamplifier and amplification can be in the same chassis. In the high-end, discrete devices are not disappearing, but in terms of functionality, devices are increasingly approaching modern streaming and multi-use solutions.

Vinyl, tape recorders and more traditional high-end

Alongside digital products, Vienna will also see more traditional high-end products. Soulution will be presenting the 787 turntable, Revox will be bringing sound systems, speakers, turntables, tape recorders and recordings to its stand, and Siltech will be presenting the Classic Legend MkII cable series.

This preserves the basic nature of the trade fair: High End Vienna is not only a showcase for new digital technology, but also includes vinyl, tape technology, cables, racks, special speakers and other traditional high-end product groups.

What should you expect from the fair?

Based on preliminary information, High End Vienna 2026 seems to combine three clear lines. The first is traditional high-end: large speakers, separate amplifiers, turntables and special solutions. The second is the strengthening of digital playback and integrated devices. The third is the rise of headphones and desktop hi-fi as part of the same trade fair.

The final lineup of the fair will only be known on site, but based on the preliminary lists, Vienna will see both announcements from major manufacturers and solutions from smaller specialty brands. The new venue will make the 2026 High End even more interesting than usual in terms of the fair experience.
