The Swiss high-end manufacturer Goldmund has unveiled a new active Prana three-way speaker. It features a one-inch silk dome tweeter, a seven-inch midrange and an nine-inch woofer.
Prana refers to the life force in Hindu philosophy. The distortion-suppressing amplifier is promised 600 watts per speaker, of which 175 watts are distributed to the treble and mid-range. The bass element gets 250 watts. The connection is a single s/pdif, and wireless playback is via Wi-Fi.
The speakers have a built-in digital signal processor that adjusts the delay, filters, and amplification. The frequency range is stated as 35 – 25,000 Hz (-6 dB). The weight of the speakers is 80 kilograms, and the dimensions are 48 x 99 x 47.6 centimeters.
