Tekoälymusiikki herättää suomalaisissa selvästi enemmän varauksia kuin tekoälyn käyttö yleensä. Tekoäly on nopeasti muuttumassa osaksi tavallista arkea, mutta sen tuottamaan musiikkiin suhtaudutaan Pohjoismaissa entistä varauksellisemmin. Tuoreen Nordic Digital Music Survey 2026 -tutkimuksen mukaan suomalaisista 81 prosenttia haluaa ilman ihmisen luovaa panosta tehdyn tekoälymusiikin merkittäväksi selvästi suoratoistopalveluissa.


Tekoälyn käyttö on Pohjoismaissa kasvanut kahdessa vuodessa voimakkaasti. Vuonna 2024 tekoälyä kertoi käyttävänsä arjessa tai työssä 20 prosenttia vastaajista, kun vuoden 2026 tutkimuksessa osuus oli jo 66 prosenttia.

Kasvanut käyttö ei kuitenkaan näytä tarkoittavan tekoälyn tuottaman musiikin yhtä varauksetonta hyväksymistä. Vuonna 2026 pohjoismaisista vastaajista 77 prosenttia katsoi, että ilman ihmisen luovaa panosta tuotettu tekoälymusiikki pitäisi merkitä selkeästi esimerkiksi suoratoistopalveluissa. Vuonna 2024 vastaava osuus oli 58 prosenttia.

Suomessa suhtautuminen oli tutkimuksen mukaan Pohjoismaiden kriittisintä. 81 prosenttia suomalaisista halusi tekoälyn tekemälle musiikille selvän merkinnän ja 74 prosenttia mahdollisuuden suodattaa tekoälymusiikki kokonaan pois suoratoistopalvelujen suosituksista ja soittolistoilta.

Ihmisen tekemälle musiikille näyttää olevan myös selvä periaatteellinen kysyntä. Pohjoismaisista vastaajista 54 prosenttia valitsisi mieluummin suoratoistopalvelun, jossa olisi tarjolla vain ihmisten tekemää musiikkia. Halukkuus maksaa tästä erikseen on kuitenkin huomattavasti vähäisempää: vain 21 prosenttia olisi valmis maksamaan tällaisesta palvelusta tavallista enemmän.

Myös tekoälyn koulutusdata herättää vastustusta

Suomalaisista 79 prosenttia katsoo, että musiikintekijöiden pitäisi voida itse päättää, käytetäänkö heidän teoksiaan tekoälypalvelujen koulutusdatana. Lisäksi 69 prosentin mielestä tekijöille pitäisi maksaa korvausta, jos tekoälypalvelu käyttää heidän musiikkiaan uuden sisällön tuottamiseen.

Vastaajista 67 prosenttia puolestaan katsoo, että poliitikkojen pitäisi huolehtia siitä, etteivät tekoälypalvelut heikennä musiikintekijöiden toimeentuloa.

AI musiikissa grafiikka

Tulokset osuvat ajankohtaan, jossa täysin tai suurelta osin generatiivisella tekoälyllä tuotettu musiikki on nopeasti lisääntynyt ja musiikkipalvelut joutuvat pohtimaan, miten tällainen sisältö pitäisi tunnistaa ja esittää käyttäjille. Tutkimuksen perusteella ainakin suuri osa kuulijoista haluaisi tietää, milloin musiikin tekemisessä ihmisen rooli on ollut vähäinen tai sitä ei ole ollut lainkaan.

Samalla tutkimus tuo esiin kiinnostavan ristiriidan: tekoälyä käytetään itse yhä enemmän, mutta luovassa sisällössä sen käyttöön halutaan aiempaa selkeämpiä rajoja, merkintöjä ja käyttäjän omaa valinnanmahdollisuutta.

Nordic Digital Music Survey 2026 toteutti YouGov Teoston, tanskalaisen Kodan ja norjalaisen TONOn toimeksiannosta. Tutkimukseen osallistui 4 033 iältään 12–65-vuotiasta vastaajaa Suomesta, Ruotsista, Norjasta ja Tanskasta, ja tulokset painotettiin iän, sukupuolen ja maantieteellisen alueen mukaan. Suomesta vastaajia oli noin 1 000. Aineisto kerättiin 26. kesäkuuta–26. heinäkuuta 2026. Tutkimuksen tilaajat edustavat musiikintekijöitä ja oikeudenhaltijoita, mikä on hyvä huomioida erityisesti tutkimuksesta tehtyjä tekijänoikeuspoliittisia tulkintoja arvioitaessa.
