There have been personnel changes within the HifiStudio group. The current CEO Jarmo Nevari is moving to the position of Chairman of the Board. The new CEO is Oulu HifiStudion dealer Jarkko Korhonen and Finance Director Lauri Eskola from Turun HifiStudion dealer. According to the Hifistudio press release, the staff changes are due to a challenging year, which is why the company is seeking new direction and momentum for its development. Nevari has led the group for the last 11 years.
New CEO Jarkko Korhonen has worked as an entrepreneur in the hi-fi industry for over 20 years. His background includes working as a dealer for Oulun HifiStudion and as the managing director of JJ Hifi Oy, a distributor company. He is also the second major shareholder of the chain. The new CFO Lauri Eskola, on the other hand, has been a dealer and shareholder in Turun HifiStudion for 10 years. Both will also continue as dealers.
The group also includes Bang & Olufsen Helsinki, whose CEO continues to be Tomi Hyvärinen. He also continues as a dealer for Helsinki Hifi Studio and is focusing on developing the sales of B&O and Hifistudio Presentation Technology.
HifiStudios has an online store as well as brick-and-mortar stores in Helsinki, Tampere, Turku, Oulu, Jyväskylä and Kuopio. The chain's annual sales are over 10 million euros.
